"You are food, nourishment. I will hunt you and then....I will devour you." - Abel Nightroad.
Esther, Ion and Radu escape the ruins into the underground passageways to avoid detection by enemies who may want to destroy the emissary Ion. As Esther notices Ion's flagging strength, she offers to tend his wounds, but he scolds her, calling her a lowly Terran and that he would not let her kind touch him. Incensed by his refusal, she gives him a piece of her mind back, which he does not want to hear. When Radu comes back from scouting the area, nothing is what it seems as he strolls up to them both, a gun in his hand, and murder in his eyes. Abel Nightroad arrives to help out just in time travelling in a speedboat - he manages to get Esther and Ion on board safely, but not before Abel is fired at by Radu. Thankfully, another character arrives to stop Radu killing them all in the shape of Paula from the Inquisitional Department along with Petro who wants Abel to hand over Ion. Lady Caterina has an audience with Paula who wants all vampires destroyed, which angers her, making her cautious to say anything which may give too much away about their present position. She is further troubled when Kate informs her there have been no communications as to the whereabouts of Abel, Esther and Ion. What are the three to do if all goes terribly wrong? This fourth volume is an extremely emotional and has action in the very best of places in this anime. Esther and Ion's interaction is touching and will be valued by the viewer as an important part of the character development in this particular volume. The viewer will get the chance to see father Abel in his true majesty in his full crusnik form - this is well worth waiting for as the animation is so well choreographed and executed. This has to be the most impressive animation in the whole volume. It is the realisation when Esther witnesses Abel in his most darkest form that is the reason he tries to keep his alter ego away from more sensitive eyes. EXTRAS: This fourth volume also has Text-less opening and closing animations and trailers for other anime. IN SUMMARY: This anime shows its quality, spectacular – comes with excellent animation and gripping characters - the best volume yet! |
