Haruhiko is determined to become stronger in order to protect Yuka. But when confronted with his biggest weakness, his unwillingness to harm those who appear human, he doesn’t know how to overcome it. Not that he’ll have much of chance to tackle the problem when some new beautiful demons appear to try to suck out his soul, steal the essence of Fulcanelli, and give Eukanaria some devilish competition! It’s more fantasy romping and some romantic bedlam in the latest volume of Enchanter.
This particular volume of the rich fantasy manga is a feast of beautiful demonic ladies with all sorts of ulterior motives on their mind. First there’s Lavoix with her human Adolph. She’s determined to steal Haruhiko’s power and get Fulcanelli’s in order to return to the demon world. But that means separating from Adolph. Although Lavoix doesn’t seem to mind, Adolph is acting strangely. Just when you think it’s all figured out and resolved, Adolph appears to take a shine to Eukanaria. Meanwhile Lavoix is doing her best to seduce Haruhiko. Little does she know he’s had all sorts of resistance training in his efforts to evade Eukanaria’s attempts to seduce him. But all that vixen charm sure is hard on a young man’s impulses. Will he give in at last? All sorts of love triangles and mired seductress intentions confound our hero in these chapters. Lavoix and Adolph’s feelings aren’t as clear or as simple as they seem and Haruhiko shows a surprising amount of understanding and patience with their situation. It seems Haruhiko may be quite the romantic. But is it Yuka he’s really thinking of as he strives to become stronger? He might figure it out if it weren’t for all the meddlesome demonic vixens in his life. During his new stage of training, Mana joins him, that sweet human girl who’s also an Enchanter and is sweet on him. But they are joined by a scheming demon with the power of Engraving who goes by the name Mercurio. She seems very cute and clumsy and just so overly enthusiastic that it makes you wonder, just what is this buxom demon really up to? But again, another vixen intervenes. It seems Lavoix hasn’t given up and Adolph is determined to help her. He even goes as far as attacking and abducting Eukanaria in order to force Haruhiko to give Lavoix what she wants. Haruhiko is enraged at this betrayal. It shocks him so much that he can’t believe it at first. He considered these two friends of a fashion. But it’s not just his anger, but Eukanaria’s words to Lavoix that are more powerful than blows and will leave readers hanging on a silent tableau as everyone waits to see what will happen next. IN SUMMARY: It’s comedy harem style with a lot of romantic drama thrown in for good measure in the latest volume of Enchanter. |
