Set in the near-future, in a town in Germany. There have been incidents of dead people coming back to life, transforming into "grotesque shadows", and attacking people. Living people show up who can transform themselves into demons whenever they want. They used to be regular humans, but when they gained this power to transform, people rejected them and called them demons. But they still use their powers, each for his own reason. However, they cannot deny their fate: to fight in a deadly battle royal with others who have turned into demons.

Characters:

Josef
The hero of the story. A mysterous hunter who secretly and quietly hunts demons. He seems to have some sort of objective...

Gelt
He was once an undefeated racer, but an incident with a demon gave him demonic power.

Amanda
A woman from XAT, an organization investigating the demon incidents. Her destiny changes completely when she gets involved with the demon incidents.

Herman
Member of XAT. As Gelt's best friend, he treats Gelt like a human even after he turns into a demon.

Mysterious Girl
A girl who follows Josef around. She contacts Josef through the computer and gives him valuable information.
