Hell comes back with a vengeance for volume 2 of Hell Girl!
I was worried that this anime would fall into a set formula (i.e boring!) But no, already in volume 2, they mix it up, playing on our expectations, throwing surprise twists, and messing with your mind in the latest and greatest from this killer thriller! It’s another set of injustices meeting vengeance of supernatural proportions. First a mother is preyed upon because she saw what she shouldn’t. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But her daughter puts her soul on the line to right that wrong and see her mother smile again. It’s a sacrifice that gets you right in the heart. Next up, an aspiring actress Ayaka is betrayed by mentor and caretaker, but does it go even deeper? Find out in the big twist in the finale! Next, a young woman is intent an avenging her friend after the girl suffered an awful accident. That accident was no accident whatsoever! This anime has evil dudes all over! But her purpose and the life of a not so scrupulous journalist and his young daughter cross paths in a big and unexpected way! Then a sister puts it all on the line to help restore the wrong done to her baker sister and their family café. One man with a hard grudge is about to go down! The last ep on this disc is the most shocking yet. Is a girl stalking her classmate or is this a case of best friend betrayal? Ignored, neglected, Minami turns to Hell Girl for help when she’s had enough. But this isn’t the regular straight forward tale of supernatural revenge. There are so many twisted turns to this story that you’ll have to watch every second and never take you eyes off the screen to find out what happens next! This volume also introduces its first reoccurring character that isn’t supernatural. A mere human is hungry to find out and understand the mystery of Hell Girl, but what will it cost them?
