Madoka stole Full Moon’s music producer right out from under her! Now Mitsuki is at a loss, needing to perform that song but she has no producer. And recent events have put Ms. Oshige’s position as Mitsuki’s manager in trouble! Mitsuki pleads with musician-turned-doctor Wakaoji for help, but he has his own regrets that interfere. As the battle for the song heats up, Madoka is put to the test. Just how far is she willing to go in order to win?

Mitsuki struggles with some of the toughest obstacles yet in her goal to have Eichi hear her message. First she must convince Dr. Wakaoji to put aside his reservations and help her. Then she must struggle with what message she wants her upcoming single to convey. It’s hard because it’s her father’s song and being an orphan, she never knew him and therefore wonders what he was feeling and what he wanted to say in the song he wrote. She finds out more about her parents from Dr. Wakaoji and now she has to discover the heart of the song she wants to sing.

Gossip hits the tabloids with upsetting lies. It was meant to cause trouble for Full Moon but it might just upset things with Madoka in an unexpected way. But despite this drama, things turn towards the more light-hearted soap opera during the last episode on this volume. Mitsuki’s friend Kumi goes to her for advice on romance. She tries her best to help Kumi, but not everything goes the way it was planned. Wit the help of her shikigami friends, can Mituski help her friend discover love?

This volume also sees the presentation of a new opening theme song. Admittedly it doesn’t seem to have the same charm as the first opening. But the new ending “Eternal Snow” is a beautiful and poignant ballad that suits the undertone of the story beautifully.

EXTRAS:
Bonus features include previews of other Viz Shojo Beat anime, manga and magazine titles.

IN SUMMARY:
The latest volume of Full Moon offers a glimpse into the past and obstacles to overcome for the future as the battle for the song heats up.
