Toji and Momo are together again. Sae makes a shocking confession to Ryo but he rebuffs her coldly and turns to Misao. It shows his true unfeeling and self serving nature. Kairi meanwhile has sworn to win Momo back. And that is only the beginning of the end of this, the final volume of the “Love Hurricane” Peach Girl.
You would think everything would be well and good with Toji now that he has the girl he really wants. But Toji’s almost criminally insecure. He thinks maybe Momo still has feelings for Kairi. Meanwhile Momo keeps catching Kairi at the worst times to give her the most awful impression of what he’s up to or how he truly feels. She has the completely wrong idea about him. But they are not the only love triangle going terribly wrong. With each twisted turn, Sae’s situation gets more soap operatic by the minute. It might just be what Misao needs to see though. Learning what a cold hearted “bastard” he is, Misao rejects Ryo and that doesn’t go over well at all. Meanwhile Kairi tries to correct Momo’s assumption that he doesn’t love her, but it leads to Momo being found in his arms by Toji…and a declaration! Kairi declares his love for her and that he will win her back from Toji - no matter what. He does it right to Toji’s face and in front of Momo. Fed up, Toji demands Momo choose between the two of them and choose right now! You would think that would be the lead up to the climatic conclusion of the anime, but this soap opera still has some hearts to wring out and so interrupt the conclusion with Sae and Ryo being attacked by thugs in the park. She ends up rushed to the hospital and another bad seed, Morika, does some dastardly deeds this round. The worst may be upon Sae. It’s a good thing Momo keeps rushing to her side despite all the terrible things her supposed best friend has done. It’s a friendship that defies logic. This is one heck of a rollercoaster ride. It’s teenaged angst filled romance to the ninth degree and beyond. Every time you think things will be resolved, like the Terminator, trouble just keeps coming back. Momo continues to reject Kairi but when she finds out something that he had kept from her, will she run to his arms? A distraught Kairi is alone during a typhoon while she’s alone with Toji at a hotel. Anything can happen in the final episodes of Peach Girl! EXTRAS:
