Asahina is one of the most irreprehensible teachers around. He comes to class hung over, chain smokes, and has a deadpan sarcastic side that only adds to his aloof demeanor. He’s also a womanizing letch and that gets him into all kinds of trouble. But nothing like the trouble that happens when his male student Yuasa finds out about a sex tape taken of Asahina. Now what will happen? Will Yuasa use this to coerce Asahina to his desires? Or will this be the first step in a series of events that will bind the two men closer than either could have imagined? All’s fair in the new manga Prince Charming.

Everyone wants a prince charming or an enchanting princess. For Yuasa, he decided first day of class that Asahina is his prince. But what a prince! He’s a lecherous chain-smoking, foul talking, jerk who loves to drink too much. But Yuasa’s in love and he’s as crazy as his teacher! In trying to make his feelings understood, he decides the best way is to move in with his teacher – no matter how Asahina feels about it! This manga is funny. It has a robust comedy and lively energy to it that is very entertaining. There are moments of drama. When a friend of Yuasa confesses his feelings to him, maybe Yuasa will get tired of chasing after the aloof and rude man who keeps having sex with him but not saying those three special words. There’s another tense moment when Asahina may have fallen in the hands of some unsavory men during a drinking bout. Overall though, this yaoi romance is a comedy and a very funny one at that. The manga ends a bit off-beat but on a highly comedic note. There is a bonus story revealing the first day of class and how Yuasa reacted to his first meeting with Asahina. 

The art style is fun and attractive. The men are good looking and Yuasa in particular has an appealing slightly unkempt look to him. Good facial expressions and body proportions show strong drawing skills. There are some explicit scenes that are rendered in evocative erotic scenes that will delight yaoi fans.  

IN SUMMARY:
Prince Charming is a fun romantic comedy where all’s fair in love and war.
