While the relationship continues to heat up between Yamato and Honoka, Suzuka is watching from the sidelines, as she continues to deny her feelings for Yamato. Yet she continues to try to get close to him as much as possible even to the point of staying another day at Hiroshima to see fireflies and wants to walk home with him in the rain.

However, Honoka's friend Nana, a pop singer, realizes that Yamato is only reacting to Honoka's every move just to make her happy. She then decides to confront Yamato about what she's observed, and tells him to get to know her more and that her birthday is in three days.

Desperately trying to figure out a gift for Honoka, Yamato seeks assistance from Suzuka and both wnet out to look for a gift. Suzuka then advices Yamato not to say unnecessary things as he has the tendency to ruin everything when he starts talking. But even after the advice, Yamato rumbles on with his shopping experience with Suzuka, thus hurting Honoka in the process and rejecting the gift.

As the story progresses, Suzuka once again touches on feelings of the human heart. In this case, even though Yamato is now dating Honoka, his feelings are still wavering to the enigmatic Suzuka. Suzuka, on the other hand, is now wondering why she is still drawn to the easygoing Yamato. She makes any attempt to be close to him as much as possible even when she is showing support for Yamato and Honoka. As for Hononka, it seems that she ends up at the short end of the relationship while her boyfriend's mind continues to wander for Suzuka.

This volume comes with so many romantic and not so romantic and awkward moments, but it still plays the tempestuous relationship that makes this series an enjoyable one. One thing to note is the scene with the fireflies, one of the most romantic scenes in an anime series.

In addition, the ending theme song and animation has changed to reflect more of the romance in the show.

EXTRAS:
Aoba High School Yearbook, Textless Songs, Trailers.

IN SUMMARY:
Why on earth would a guy who has a cute and caring girlfriend wander off to someone who seems cold-hearted? Because love is sometimes blind, and it is what make this volume of Suzuka an edgier and enjoyable one.
