About Monochrome Factor:

High school student Nikaido Akira meets a mysterious man named Shirogane, who tells him, "I've been looking for you. I want you to help me." He says that he is "Not a human, but a shadow in human form." Akira doesn't really believe him at first, but he eventually gets caught up in the fight with the Shadow Monsters. Then there is no turning back, and Akira becomes a "Shin." Without even really understanding the situation, he helps Shirogane in the fight against the Shadow Monsters.

And then, his classmate Aya Suzuno and his friend Kengo Aramura get caught up in the fight with the Shadow Monsters too.
