Even though Kaito and the mermaids have faced down Gackto and then Michel, their story is far from over. Here in the final volume of Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, comes the heartwarming conclusion to the manga series.

Although the action and main story concluded last volume, it’s here where fans can find out just what happens to the host of characters they’ve enjoyed reading about throughout the manga series. Find out what happens between Hippo and Gackto’s Yuri, a past look into Michal and Rihito’s life, Seira’s troubles, and the fate of Lucia and her beloved Kaito.

The big story is of course Lucia’s destiny. When she becomes ill with fever, it is at last revealed just when the real first time she met Kaito was. It laid the groundwork for her future, but she had no idea how big that future would be! A startling turn of events will seal her fate once and for all. Don’t fret though, this has been a warm and fun manga throughout so don’t worry about anything too angst ridden. This is a series about princesses and happily ever after endings.

There are also bonus stories in this final volume. The first involves the uptight Misao and her pact with the juvenile delinquent of the school Subaru, to try and reform him over the course of the summer. Romance brews in the sea air and anything can happen. Then the mangaka transforms Greek gods and goddesses into star-crossed lovers in the story about Diana and Apollo. A girl named Yumia is discovered by a good looking lad named Yo. He’s actually Apollo, God of the Sun, and has been searching for thousands of years for his long lost goddess Diana and Yumia may just be the key! In ‘Cherry Blossom’, pretty Ibuki and handsome Nino go to an academy that holds a very special legend about love and the tree on the hill. An old legend comes to life beneath the blooming cherry blossoms.

Manga extras include translation notes, character popularity poll results, background materials selection which includes character designs, the early story of Pichi Pitch, and illustrations.

IN SUMMARY:
The final volume of this romantic adventure series comes to a close with warm hearted epilogues and happily ever after.
