Kairi’s stolen kiss with another girl has Momo seeing red. But even more shocking is who she turns to in her time of need – Sae! Kairi’s in love with someone else?! Sae is Momo’s best friend?! The world gets turned upside down in the penultimate volume of the love hurricane that is Peach Girl!
Kairi and Momo break up, but she chooses to wait for Kairi while he tries to figure things out. However, summer vacation sees her working with none other than her first love – Toji! Now what will she do? While Kairi bides his time trying to figure out the meaning of life, Toji is making the move on Momo. And impossible of all the impossible things – Sae and Momo appear to be friends. This crazy soap opera anime is a hurricane of love that is about to meet a real typhoon when a stormy night creates misunderstandings, missed opportunities, and a real shake up with the love triangle as Momo ends up in Toji’s arms. Devastated, Kairi doesn’t correct the misunderstanding but instead pretends nothing’s wrong. However, Sae knows the truth but she’s having love trouble of her own. Her imaginary affair with Ryo gets a shake up when Misao confesses her true feelings and Ryo might just return them! It’s all out war and the progress Sae has made might go down the drain as she slides back into her old conniving ways. But this time she has company when Kairi decides he wants to split up Toji and Momo! Fickle, fickle, fickle! Momo’s become an angsty rubber ball bouncing between these two guys. When she learns that Kairi isn’t anywhere near as indifferent as he seems, will that change how she feels or whom she chooses? This anime is the pinnacle of soap operas. Momo’s to-and-fro between the two guys is both exasperating and the stuff of teen soap opera hits. The unlikely friendship building between her and the incorrigible Sae is crazy but fun. Then Sae and Kairi pairing up together for a bit of manipulation is a guilty pleasure to watch. How any of this will end up is up in the air as this penultimate volume throws it all to the whim of the teenage hormones and heartfelt angst of the characters in question. EXTRAS: Bonus features include FUNimation trailers, textless opening and ending songs, Peach girl manga ads, and Japanese promo video. IN SUMMARY: The penultimate volume of Peach Girl sees romance and angst everywhere as the couples all get a big shake up, some break ups, and some pending foul play as each person tires to get who they truly want. Peach Girl is a soap opera love battle that takes no prisoners! |
