CONTROVERSY OVER THE ORIGIN OF SCHOOLGIRL SAILOR OUTFIT

Japan’s schoolgirl sailor uniforms, we see them on majority of anime series, and we have become familiar with them, however, a controversy has emerged about the origin of the uniform according to a report by the Mainichi Daily News. It seems Heian Jogakuin St Agnes School in Kyoto is claiming to have introduced the iconic outfit a year before Fukuoka Jo Gakuin introduces the original sailor outfit in 1921.
