Madoka’s jealousy gets out of hand, Full Moon’s first live concert is pending, and a new challenge rises up for Mitsuki in the latest volume of Full Moon.

Just when Full Moon aka Mitsuki is able to return to work, Madoka is back and up to no good. She starts spreading malicious gossip on the set and it causes all sorts of conflict for Full Moon. Next, Full Moon’s first live solo performance is just around the corner. Everyone is very excited about it, but booking problems and other stumbling blocks may bring her first live concert to a halt before she ever gets a chance to go on stage. Can her friends help her pull off a miracle?

After the drama of the first two episodes in this volume, the show takes a turn towards the chaotic comedy of an insane moving day when Full Moon’s manager moves. Everyone is out in full force to help, including Mitsuki’s shikigami. But they’re always tripping into trouble whatever they try to do. It’s a light, fun episode to give fans some emotional R&R before the next dramatic turn of events. And dramatic they are. Full Moon is set to do her father’s song that means so much to her. But Madoka is up to even more dirty tricks. She steals both the song and the producer from under Full Moon!  But Full Moon’s manager isn’t about to give up so easily and neither is the determined and brave young girl Mitsuki. Soon it’s a challenge as the two girls prepare to face off in a battle of talent as the get set to a song duel, winner take all!

Madoka’s envy and resentment of Full Moon truly starts to ruin Madoka’s better qualities. It’s overtaken her. The misguided reasons for her hatred of Full Moon have yet to be corrected and her new producer does not seem to be the type to help, but instead to harm. He doesn’t try to nurture her to a better path, but instead is excited by her anger and hatred and feeds it, eager to set up a song filled confrontation between the two rising stars. During this volume, there is a sharp contrast provided in the relationship beginning between Madoka and her producer, and Full Moon with her long time manager Ms. Oshige. You see Mitsuki/Full Moon and her manager working together, helping each other, being supportive towards each other. Ms. Oshige is very sympathetic to Mitsuki’s circumstances, especially now that she knows the full truth of Mitsuki’s situation and the existence of the shikigami. It’s a relationship built on trust and caring. Madoka’s bad feelings set a terrible precedent for her goals as singer. It will be with suspenseful anticipation to find out what will happen when these two singers with very different aspirations face off at last.
