In the first episode, Skuld is still furious at Keiichi and Belldandy for getting on so well, while Urd is amazed that they have not actually become an item after all this time together. Wanting to correct this problem, she goes into her room to concoct a spell using her arcane ingredients to make a love spell which turns into small crystals Urd passes off as sweet candy.
Going to Keiichi to give one to him, Belldandy asks her to give her one too as they look so good. Urd does not want to, but gives her one, and as usual the consequences are humorously disastrous. Urd discovers Skuld had tampered with the spell, and Belldandy starts to act differently to Keiichi, becoming amorous to him as the potion in the crystals has made Keiichi very desirable to her. Belldandy finally asks him out on a date and as he leaves the house the both of them have to dodge Banpei who tries to come between the two after Urd and Skuld follow them around town causing many problems. Keiichi cannot cope with Belldandy's intense affection toward him as they stroll and shop then goes to the movies and lastly a church. Eventually she tells him she is in love with him, and Keiichi replies he is in love with the real Belldandy, not the enchanted one. Urd is unhappy that the potion she gave him will wear away, and she is mad they did not manage to make love while she was ready. Consequently Keiichi feels he cannot fall truly in love with her as she will soon have to leave earth to go back to heaven and thinks their getting together would be useless. What Belldandy wants most is to stay with him a little longer. Skuld is livid at Urd for them nearly becoming intimate and brings Banpei to protect her, but it is too late as he has already told her how he feels. In the second episode Keiichi and Belldandy are left on their own. Banpei stands guard as Urd and Skuld are called back to heaven to take care of business there. Urd leaves him with her large spell book. Skuld gives instructions to Belldandy to serve him a flan, though the effects become hillarious as the episode goes on. This is the TV volume everyone has been waiting for as Keiichi finally bares his soul and tells Belldandy how much he loves her, and the romantic liaisons start to take root in the two of them. EXTRAS: Line art gallery, Screen shot gallery and DVD credits all add to the beautiful fifth volume. IN SUMMARY: A well-scripted, humorous and spellbinding series of episodes. |
