On a boat to safety with her loyal Rusafa by her side, all should be well with Yuri. But Urhi’s latest plot sees the ship on fire and Yuri thrown overboard. Rusafa follows her in the hopes of rescue but both are soon lost to their Hittite allies and find themselves in the care of their enemy the Egyptians! As Kail fights the invading Egyptian army, Rusafa fights to save an injured and ailing Yuri’s life while in the hands of the enemy.

Picked up by Egyptians, Yuri’s state of health is so dire that they must go to the nearest port which is an Egyptian controlled one. Once there, their search for a doctor doesn’t prove well and Rusafa, upon learning that Ramses is in the city, makes a desperate decision in the hopes of saving Yuri’s life. The outcome will have a cost that none could have anticipated and could spell the doom of the Hittites.

Fearing his beloved Yuri is dead, Kail begins to succumb to grief after suffering a crushing loss in the latest battle with the Egyptian forces. His despair could very well herald the loss of a nation as the Hittites fear the worst will become of them should they lose their king too.

The latest in this grand story sees a low point reached by Yuri and Kail. They are separated, the Hittites are losing ground against the invading Egyptians, and now Yuri is in the clutches of Ramses. Psychologically, many of the main group of characters suffers a reversal of fortune and mental state. A proud and happy king, Kail loses ground and fearing the loss of his beloved, gives way to grief. Yuri blames herself for what she interprets as a failure to her beloved Kail and therefore has become apathetic, not even fighting Ramses when he takes her. She sees no point in struggling but instead lethargically gives in to whatever fate has in store for her. What happens next may very well decide the fate of nations.

IN SUMMARY:
The incredible fantasy epic reaches a harsh turning point in the lives of Yuri and Kail. This fantasy saga is of an immersing nature that few other such manga series have been able to capture.
