Containing full color illustrations from the manga series, novels, PS2 games, promotional art work, cover illustrations, splash pages and more, this book holds art detailing from 2003 to 2005 covering the genesis of the story and incarnations of FMA during that time period. It also holds character designs in full color art complete with the artist’s comments and notes for the characters for the PS2 games for both FMA: Curse of the Crimson Elixir and FMA: The Girl Who Surpasses God. There is even art work for promotional telephone cards. At the end, the book has a special message from Hiromu Arakawa to the fans. He shows a sincere affection for the characters of FMA and displays an engaging sense of humor in his comments throughout this art book. The collection has a very clean, well organized and easy to follow layout. The paper is a thick stock and the large hard cover presentation is eye-catching. The illustrations are all in full color and display an impressive range of spreads and art styles which includes some parody work he’s done, various experimenting with backgrounds and character designs.
