Outraged and hurt over a scene between Kairi and his ex-girlfriend, Momo throws her gift at him and runs away. When they do seem to smooth things over, it’s only to become embroiled in the tangled web of Kairi’s brother Ryo. Sae meanwhile has grown bored of having Toji, and when she sees Momo with the handsome and sophisticated Ryo, Sae tries to sink her claws into the men in Momo’s life all over again! It’s a whirlwind of deceit and traps in the latest volume of Peach Girl.

For those of you who hated Sae, there’s a new villain in the story that makes her look like evil-lite. Ryo is far worst than Sae ever was and Momo will quickly find herself in a storm of deception and malicious aims. This time Sae might be the one in need of rescuing or will it be a case of double the trouble for Momo if Sae and Ryo do hook up? With both Sae and Ryo playing head games and worse with Momo, it could mean the most terrible thing for her relationship with Kairi.

This anime is a crazy roller-coaster of soap opera villainy, twisted characters, and the naïve people at their mercy. You’ll likely want to shake Momo when she keeps falling for Ryo’s lines again and again and again. But even when you’ll want to bop characters on the head, you’ll be finding yourself eager to see what happens next in this zany romantic romp.

The over the top drama is riddled with romantic trials like when Momo considers sleeping with the persistent Kairi. However, doubts planted by Ryo are making her wonder how Kairi truly feels for her. We get an interesting look into Kairi’s past and the angst ridden roots to his playboy ways. There may be some merit to Ryo’s seeds of doubt. When Momo uncovers the truth, it could be the end of her and Ryo.

The last episode on this disc shows that Sae’s involvement with Ryo has even Momo worried, especially when things take a shocking turn. And meanwhile, struggling with Kairi’s feelings for someone else, Momo must choose to follow her heart or save it. Although this anime firmly steered viewers into being in Kairi’s court, the latest string of events might shake up many Kairi fans.
