Based on the light novel by Isuna Hasekura, a twelve epsiode Ookami to Koushinryo (Spicy Wolf) has been announced. Japanese broadcast schedule is currently unknown. Official site is now ONLINE.
The official site of the new TV anime "Ookami to Koushinryo" is open. It includes anime staff information, information on the original work, and comments from the creator and staff.
"Ookami to Koushinryo" is a light novel by Isuna Hasekura. Horo is a wolf who has borrowed the form of a young girl, and Lawrence is a calm, cool, and collected peddler. It's a fresh fantasy which deliberately does not include "swords and sorcery," but depicts the life of a merchant in Europe during the middle ages very realistically, and gives a thrilling portrayal of the scandal that the two of them get involved in on their travels. The title won the Silver Prize in the 12th Dengeki Novel Awards. 5 novels have already been published, with total sales of over 500,000. It is one of the most popular titles on the Dengeki label.
A comic version is scheduled to begin publication in the November issue of Dengeki Maoh, which goes on sale on 9/27/2007. The manga will be illustrated by Keito Koume, known for his work On Kujibiki Unbalance.
