This show keeps getting hotter, cooler and slicker! Right off, Ikki is high from his first parts war win with his team Kogarasumaru (say that five times fast, I dare ya!). But quick to beat him down is the return of big sister Rika. She is so not happy with her sisters for letting him do the Air Trek thang. Rika’s so unhappy that she threatens to take his AT goods away! Ikki won’t stand for that, no matter how many times she beats him up. Next thing you know it’s a duel on the rooftops between the Sleeping Forest and Ikki! If he wins, Rika will butt out of his AT ambitions. If he loses…he can never Air Trek again!

This disc holds a whopping 5 episodes and do they ever rock! The whole showdown between Rika and Ikki has more revelations than you can shake your booty at! Rika has been hiding a whack of secrets from Ikki. Hoo boy! And the anime gives you the feeling that it’s just getting warmed up! After all that, it seems psycho boy Agito has been up to no good and is setting Ikki’s team up for a grudge match with the big bad Behemoth team. Soon it’s a rumble in the Air Trek jungle when each of the members of Kogarasumaru have to face the individual and evil Behemoth members, one on one in a giant maze match!

One of the coolest anime series I’ve had fun watching, Air Gear rocks! The Rika secrets were total surprises, the match between her and Ikki even managed to tug those ole heartstrings of mine. The huge battle with Behemoth though is stupendous. This is a show that will have you on the edge of your seat with all the slick action and laughing out loud crazy humor. I busted a gut when Agito’s careful planning hits the wall of Ikki’s unpredictable bad ass self and then Agito throws a fit. That pairing is one of the funniest things ever. One of the cool things about this volume is that in the fight against Behemoth, the various guys in Ikki’s gang get their chance to shine when we see each of them fight with all they’ve got against the mighty forces of Behemoth. And Behemoth are a freaky bunch. You’ll be on the edge of your seat to find out who wins in this one!

EXTRAS:
It has clean opening and closing animation, previews, and this time the shiny foil cover is a cool deep purple.

IN SUMMARY:
Air Gear is the slickest anime since Samurai Champloo. It’s ultra-cool and hard core fun!
