Finally, after all this time masquerading as a boy, Kiri gets to model as herself- a girl! However, a beach getaway for the shoot, the suggestion of nude photos, and the male accompaniment of both Tohya and Akira sets the mood for romance and jealousy!

It was great to see Kiri getting the chance to find some confidence modeling as herself for a change. What was surprising was the role super rich, super spoiled, super model Makoto plays in this newest turn of events. The rivalry between Tohya and Akira for Kiri’s heart really heats up in this volume. And a new devious plot by Kiri’s maniacal mother puts a bigger wrench in the works for Kiri. Her mother wants her to take on stage modeling. To do so Kiri must take some special training for the stage. At the agency, she runs into two new characters when she’s dressed as her male alter ego. The exotic looking Riku and Kanoh seem like a whole new world of trouble for over-burdened and anxious Kiri!

Like a good shoujo series, the latest chapters in this manga add in some new potential rivals/love interests for Kiri right when things might have been settling down for her. With the many gender-bending comedic misunderstandings, there’s always the thrill and possible anticipation of others discovering Kiri’s true identity. Her mother continues to be a riot with her over the top egomaniacal ways. And the series always finds moments to have some heart tugs and warm scenes with characters. There has yet to be any character that has been truly evil. Each has a good heart given time and circumstances that the book reveals as the series continues. It makes for a read that leaves you with a warm hearted feeling and nice soap opera thrills.

Manga extras include the continuing Secrets of the Muto Household short panel comic strips and “A Day in the Life” from the author.

IN SUMMARY:
The latest chapters have Kiri getting closer to the men in her life and two new beautiful heartbreakers appear as Kiri heads for the stage.
