At last Ikki has formed his own Air Treks team! But now the real challenges begin as he figures out what he wants to achieve with his Air Treks (AT) – to fight or to fly free? The last is something worth fighting for, AT style of course. But one of the team’s members is feeling out of sorts. Kazu isn’t sure he wants to be a Storm Rider. And when he has to choose to either leave the group or race against the voluptuous leader of a rival gang in a parts/emblem war, Kazu will show his true colors. However, when Rika, the eldest sister of Sleeping Forest returns home, she isn’t pleased at all to learn of Ikki’s ambitions. In fact, she takes away his ATs and forbids him to ever fly again!

A fast paced series with rigorous racy comedy and high flying aerial moves, Air Gear is a manga series that leaves other action series in the dust. The combat moves in the parts war are incredible, even astonishing. It shows grand creativity and fantastic illustrative brilliance. The real stunners in this volume however, are the secrets revealed when Rika returns.

Rika’s homecoming ushers in a whole new set of questions even as some of the mystery of Air Treks, the eight kings of the Eight Roads, and the path to Trophaeum is told to a riveted Ikki. He hears the Legend of the Keeper of the Sky, that whom all the kings are waiting for. Could Ikki be the one? And where does Rika’s fear and anger towards him using ATs stem from? The answers will shock you! And they’ll raise the bar for the next volume of this thrilling action series.

Extras include translation notes, character concept sketches, a preview of the next volume in the original Japanese, and a profile of Kei Machida, emblem designer.

IN SUMMARY:
An Air Treks team is formed, members are chosen, and parts wars begin, but a homecoming may put it all up in the air as Ikki learns the truth behind Rika’s motives and her real identity! The excitement of Air Gear leaves other action manga in the dust!
