 Carli Mosier, a successful stage actor, fight director, and an upcoming voice actor, answered some questions from us about herself, her critics, and her role as Yukika in ADV Films' Nerima Daikon Brothers. This is an audio response interview. Transcript will soon follow
Carli, as the majority of the voice actors in the industry, you’re a stage actor as well, can you please share with us your stage performance background?
As a performance artist, who or what has influenced you the most in your work?
How did you land in the voice acting business?
What was your first day like? Was it anything like you expected? How are you finding it now that you have had various roles?
On every audition that you take part of, do you always expect to land some type of role?
What was your initial reaction when you landed the role of Yukika in Nerima Daikon Brothers?
What was your first impression of Yukika and what do you like the most about your character?
Did you have the chance to write some of the script in the show, and if you did, what is your favorite line of Yukika's?
Your voice fits Yukika in every way, what was your thought process of coming out with that sexy voice?
The song lyrics in the show didn’t match the mouth flaps, did that pose some difficulties for you when singing since you’re more used to matching your voice to the flaps, and was it hard to give everything you have to the singing performance?
Did you ever have to stop the recording because you will suddenly burst out laughing because of the hilarious lyrics?
There were negative reviews about your performance, what are your initial thoughts and reactions to those reviews, and how do you handle such criticism?
When volume 2 came out, the critics did a 180-degree change of view about your performance, and since then, every review written about you has been positive. What do you think changed their minds?
Ok, since Yukika is a detective that comes with up with gadgets in every situation, if you have been a real life detective, with limited resources on hand, what kind of case do you think you would embark on and why?
Any embarrassing moment during recording that you could share with us?
