Be prepared for humour as well as action with this second volume of Lights Out. Gun Nam, a feisty teenager, tough as he is promises to his mother that he will end his violent past, and enrol at a new high school, renting a room at the Lucky Residence where he meets lots of cool friends, but then has one problem. How to make Seung-Ah his girlfriend as it would be the one thing he would desire above all else.

To make matters worse, he has two other girls who have the hots for him, and it is hard to refuse them as his past starts to catch up with him.

While Gun is in an ever more packed dorm, a new visitor arrives, Tae-Mun a man originally from a rich family who is heir to a corporation and is intended to marry a girl once he is of age. He has fled in secret, writing a letter to his parents later to tell them why he made such a drastic move.

Helping him move in all his high-tech gear might not be his idea of fun, but some of the stuff he has brings back memories of the good times he had with dad.

And just as Gun thinks his situation could not get any worse, he sees old flame Seung-Hyuk Paek a 21-year-old pro motorcycle racer who knew Seung-Ah way back. In order to win his girl and prove he's man enough to take her on, he takes up racing just to compete against Seung-Hyuk to prove his point.

Volume 2 kicks off with some electrifying fun bits, Gun causing havoc, the people around him, rivalry and the sight of him with an angel on one side and devil on the other when he's thinking adds to the humour of which there is a load. It is fun enough seeing Gun try to win the heart of his one time love only to be slapped away and branded a pervert. The art has the look of Korean manga and the detail in it does not hide the humour in the story.

IN SUMMARY:
Incredible and downright excellent. Recommended for action manga fans everywhere.
