Kimhiro Watanuki has a problem. Domeki angers the spirit within a spider when he gets rid of its web, and it, in anger weaves a web around his eye, preventing him from opening it. Kimhiro goes to Yuko's shop to see if she can help with the problem, but Yuko only says the spider holds a grudge against Domeki for destroying its home, and now Domeki has received payback from the spider for its loss. Kimhiro asks if she can do something, but she tells him that to get rid of it from his friend, the person must have the burden of the grudge transferred to someone else in order to free Domeki. Kimhiro faces daily struggles when he works at the shop, and knows how powerful a person and owner Yuko is. Domeki is angry at his predicament, and goes to Yuko's shop to ask for her to do something for him, it is then he finds out Yuko is a granter of wishes, and that is why the shop exists. People ask her things, want answers to unusual phenomena. When one day a young girl brings in an envelope tied extensively with string and begs to be helped by Yuko, she takes it on. The girl hands it to her saying she has taken it to temples and shrines, even mediums and they had no power to do anything for it. When she undo's the string, she sees an ordinary photograph of a young girl on holiday in a summer setting. Kimhiro thinks it is only a normal photograph of a girl, but Yuko mentions feeling chills when she held the envelope, so it was the photo itself. Curiously, Yuko puts the photo in an ornate butterfly frame and places it in full view in the parlor of the shop, but there is more to the photograph than anyone realises. Kimhiro has noticed that the girl he wants in all the world, Himawari has more interest in Domeki than him in the main story in this manga, but the side stories seem just as interesting to read. Readers will marvel at the Clamp style of drawing, the use of decorative smoke in the panels and detailed plates of the characters at intervals looking amazing.
This series also crosses over with the other Clamp hit Tsubasa so no fan will want to miss this.
