Killers are on the loose, and the local police are at a loss as to who the criminals are when one young lady is killed in a strange manner just like the last one. Aizawa takes photographs of the murder scene but gets sent away but an angry detective annoyed at him for being around the scene in the first place, but he angers him further when he tells him he should be spending more time looking for the killer. Masane announces she has a new job, and celebrates by getting roaring drunk, laughing at the fact Aizawa was scared at what he saw the other night when she changed using the Witchblade. Aizawa and Masane go and ask a few locals about who the killer might be and find a guy who says he has seen the killer, mentioning he was not human, and was repeating a rhyme to the woman he killed. It has haunted him ever since and they can see what kind of trauma has befallen the man. While they are out, Rihoko leaves for the supermarket to get some vegetables for her cooking when she meets Reina, but not stopping for long, she then meets someone else…the killer. Masane seems to have met her match in Reina and she will have to fight if she wants to keep a hold of her daughter, meanwhile other problems are surrounding Doji Industries, the clone blades and the killers who are stalking the streets and killing innocents. The story as always is an interesting one, and concentrates this time on the relationship between Masane and Rihoko as an inseperable pair.
