From the powerful introducing the devastating and pulse-racing mecha fight sequence the viewer will be in no doubt that they are in for a real treat.

Since every citizen has been given the right to carry a weapon due to a new law being passed so that the criminal apprehension rate has gone up, but the arrest rate has lowered considerably, meaning criminals are caught all thanks to RAPT.

Kyohei Tachibana answers an advert at an employment agency for a culinary Chef, and is immediately dragged into an insane world where four girls, Jo, Sei, Amy and Meg live as a group. His task is to cook proper meals for all of them, as most of the three end up eating junk food all the time. Kyohei agrees and at first sees them as being rather childish girls who do not take to him being there. Though once he sees through their manner, he finds they are actually have a rough and tough exterior.

Being kicked out of their armoured tank of a trailer is not what he considers grateful until he realises they have a job to do and do not want him around getting into trouble, as their job is important and the fate of the country is in their hands as they have to tackle criminals who want possession of a disc. So close to finding what they need, Meg becomes a captive and is taken away by a cybot mecha Jo believes is military based rather than RAPT.

For the first time, as Kyohei thinks he is part of a secret organization, he is taken with Jo, Amy and Sei to find the mecha and hopefully in the process find Meg. To make their fighting easier, Jo and the crew have Jingo their own mecha who comes in handy when some tough customers need taking out in a hurry.

Kyohei is an unlikely hero in this box set, naive, young and impressionable he can be easily identified with, while Jo and her gang are certainly the hard girls in this anime.

Viewers will discover how easily it is to get taken in by the sheer quality of the graphics and how hi-tech and sophisticated it is. The characters are well rendered with almost lifelike appeal, and the backgrounds are a reminder to all how much animation in this field has progressed over the years.

There is the right measure of dialogue, character interaction and all out heart throbbing action keeping the viewer suitably entertained.
