That should help with your first question. Cameron.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm going to agree to disagree with you. Because by not answering those questions that I mentioned, he leaves himself open for attack, misinterpretation and just generally makes himself seem alarmist. Remember he's arguing with people that he disagrees with, without presenting a full and complete argument he isn't going to convince anyone.

All he ends up doing is preaching to the choir.

I would like to point out to you Cameron, that you are overly nit-picking at a buisness professional's comments and simplifacation

I don't think so. These are holes that are in the interview itself. And frankly they're questions that should have been asked.

Anime is intellectual property, that is why there is a copywright symbol in the opening and closing credits

I agree. But on the other hand, it's the business professional's job to meet the desires of his customer base. In a society where stealing has become a consumer choice (especially in the world of intellectual property), what is he doing to adapt to the market?

Nothing. In fact, he defends the current business model by openly attacking the people he should be trying to make customers. Not only is this ineffective public speaking, it's ineffective business.

On the ethics of the matter, I agree with you. But capitialism isn't about ethics. It's about meeting your customer's desires. And they aren't.
